THE PROCESS
Contact us and we’ll set up an introductory call to hear more about the specific needs and goals of your project. We’ll follow up with a detailed proposal outlining our design plan and cost. When we start, our creative process continues with the steps below.

1 - BRAINSTORM | Collaborate on ideas together using images, market research and competitive landscapes, and sketching as needed to help define goals and content.

2 - INSPIRE | Gather a visual library of images, words, colors and patterns for inspiration and direction.

3 - CONCEPTS | Explore concepts through a range of techniques and mediums.

4 - DESIGN & REVISIONS | Refine and revise.

5 - FINALIZE | Prepare files for production.

6 - SUPPORT | Provide design support for printing, engineering and fabrication if needed.
THE DESIGNER
Paula Kwon is a product and packaging designer based in Washington, DC.
Formally trained in industrial design, she spent years at corporate firms as a designer and project manager for consumer and children’s products. Now, she leverages this experience to create artful, functional, and impactful designs for today’s commercial world. She values authenticity, craftsmanship, organization, problem solving, and a collaborative creative process.
Paula has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a certificate of Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts. She has helped to design research-based, human-centered products from concept to manufacturing and has worked with researchers, marketers, recording studios, engineers and manufacturers to develop several award-winning consumer and children’s products.
Skills: Illustration, concept development, surface pattern design, 2D and 3D creative software, prototyping, spec packages.
Paula lives in a beloved DC row house (near the corner of Spring and 11th) with her husband and 3 kids. She continues to draw inspiration from food, culture and city life for her designs.
